Dynamic view: how do I make the multiple line work when a field is "read-only"?

I have set up my "Details Panel Layout" with a read-only field and selected the "Display as" = "Multiple Line"... However, when I view the report, the dynamic view only shows a single line in the form for this specific field.

How do I fix it?

The "Multiple Line" setting under the Details Panel tab is specific to the Panel on the right side of the View.

This means that when you click on the row from the Dynamic View and open the Panel, you'll see a multi-line description. However the View itself will always show just one line, like so:
