Alerts and notifications
Hello,
SmartSheet sends alerts and notifications, it appears as if these are coming from the sheet owner's 'inbox'; for example, if I set up an alert on my sheet to be send to a collaborator, the receiver of the email always see it as coming from my inbox. Many a time, this is an inconvenience, or not required. Is it possible to set up the system in such a way that alerts and notifications appear to come from a different inbox, like, say HELP@company.com? have anyone done anything like this?

Hi @SSK_REGN
I hope you're well and safe!
A workaround used mostly would be to have a general license that you'd use so it would come from that email.
Make sense?
Have a look at this post for information about the recent change and possible workarounds.
Would any of those options work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hello Andree,
I was thinking along the same lines (using a general license), but anted to check whether any other options are available.
had gone thru the posts, but did not see any useful alternatives. It is frustrating to see that even after 1 year of reporting this need by user community, no solution is forthcoming from SmartSheet !!

Another option could maybe be the 3rd-party solution, Zapier.
I've used that recently for a client solution to send out branded emails to their clients from Smartsheet.
Would that work/help?

Hello,
We use the option that Andree mentions and it is associated with a group distribution list in Smartsheet for our Smartsheet Administrators. We have Control Center and having all sheets owned by the "Admin" helps us reduce the load when an employee comes into/leaves the organization and also allows us to have one account which can see all project-focused sheets. This works well for situations when we need to trouble shoot something, but still requires management to triage requests and route to the correct person.
If you are finding this in automations, you can add the name and email address of the person in the message that goes out. When people read these (doesn't always happen) questions are routed correctly.
