Alert someone in automation not working

Hi,

In my automation flow the action "alert someone" does not work, no alert is sent. However, the actions requesting an approval are sent and work properly.

Strangely enough, if I modify the action 'alert someone' to 'request an approval' that goes through and an email is sent (without changing the conditions or trigger)

Example: When column B = Yes then 'Alert someone' -> FAIL

When column B = Yes then 'Request an approva'l -> PASS

Why would the 'request for an approval' action work properly and the 'alert someone' action fail?

I was able to find my answer in another post on this site. I need to check "Include my changes in sheet notifications" under Personal Settings for the Alerts to work properly!
