Locked column on sheet is not locked on report

I have several reports created from a sheet that has locked columns. The column locks are not transferring to the reports and now if the report share has editor rights they can change the data in the locked columns. What could be causing this?

Is that same column locked on EVERY sheet that contains that column?

Are users able to edit every single row of the locked column or only particular rows?

Are there any locked columns that are actually working properly in the report?

I only have one sheet with different reports created from it. The column is locked on the sheet. On the report the column is not locked. This is happening to every column that is locked on the sheet regardless of what report I add it to.

What happens if you try to link to a different sheet with locked columns?

Keep in mind that as the owner of the sheet and report, you will be able to edit locked columns/rows. Have you verified that this is in fact also happening for those people that should NOT be able to?

Okay, I think we're good now. The problem (as I see it) is that when you're viewing the Report (whether as the Owner, Admin, or Editor) there are no lock icons in the column header like there are when you view the Sheet. Any recommendations on how to clearly label a column as locked when it comes to showing on a Report?

The only thing I can think of is formatting. If there is a locked column that is informational only and should not be edited, I usually use a light grey fill.
