Update Request does not allow editing field

I have a workflow that sends an update request to each resource assigned.

I'm trying to get them to update "% Complete", but it's showing as uneditable.

The user is an Editor, and it does allow them to edit other fields, such as Task Name and Resource Name.

The % Complete is not a locked column, and the row(s) are also not locked.

Any ideas what to check next?

What kind of row is it? (Parent/Child)

Are you using dependencies?

I was thinking dependencies. Are they enabled? If so, that field won't be editable via update request or report.

@Andrée Starå If dependencies are NOT enabled on the sheet, would parent vs child row make a difference (assuming no formulas)?
