Format cells in sheets and reports that have an update request
Has anybody found a way to highlight (change cell color or format) a cell or row in a sheet, once an update request has been manually requested by a user? Additionally how can the same highlight be extended to reports built off of that sheet?
We have users manually requesting updates to a single column in a report, but as reports do not display the update request icon, it is rather intensive for the users to prevent themselves from unintentionally sending multiple requests for the same data bit.

I hope you're well and safe!
When they send the manual update request, do they always ask for the same information, or it can be
I hope that helps!

Hello Andree,
The manual update request is always on the same column, but a different row within that column. I am not quite sure if this answers your question, as your sentence appears to be cut off on my screen.

Yes, and yes, I see that the text got cut off.
I'd recommend adding a checkbox or similar and set up an automated update request to trigger from it so it would be included with the others.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?

I do understand the generality of your suggestion.
To confirm, we do have multiple users requesting updates, and the update may be sent to various recipients, each is evaluated on a case by case basis. If we were to use a checkbox to drive a request automation, would there be a way for one request to go to "Person A" and another to go to "Person B"?

Yes, you could add another helper column where you select or add the recipients, and use that in the workflow.
Would that work?
