Copying rows and the display of gantt chart
Hello Everyone
For context: I am using a sheet where I have 2 date columns, but only one is populated, "Sign in Date", the second one (Sign out Date), will only be populated when a person is signed off. And that is only for the purpose to copy that row to secondary sheet. When row is copied, then dates, names(primary) etc. will be cleared for new future sign ons in the main sheet.
Now to the point, in the main sheet I use only grid view, but in the second sheet I wish to use gantt view. Everything works fine, but in the secondary sheet, most of the gantt rows are with "empty" background, without vertical lines to indicate days. See the picture:
How could set it to show the background vertical lines?
Thank you in advance
Sander

Hi @Sander K
This background can happen when the rows in their entirety have been coloured, either manually by using the paint can icon, or through a Conditional Formatting rule.
Instead of selecting "white" to clear out cell background colour, select the row (by clicking on the row number) then choose "Automatic":
Or, change your Conditional Formatting rule to be "No Background" instead of "White". (See: Apply Formatting Automatically with Conditional Formatting Rules.)
Let me know if this has worked for you!
Cheers,
Genevieve
