record the date when 'done' is checked

I really miss a solution to automatically record the date when the 'done' checkbox is checked (without entering it manually)

 

This is fundamental to calculate and make some stats about the lead/lag between planned and achieved date.

 

Woud love to know it is part of the development road map.

Rather than click a "done" checkbox, just go to the end date field and enter "t" which will stamp it with today's date.

Glad that you found an acceptable workaround 

 

On a side note, you can also short cut dates to yesterday (y) and tomorrow (tom) in the same fashion as the today (t) shortcut.
