Display Value from Today
Each day we enter the number of new employees by type. In that sheet, I'd like to display the value from today. I have a date column called Day and a column called Intern. I want the summary filed to display the number as it changed each day. I've tried various forms of Vlookup, Index and Max with no luck.
Thanks for your help!!

Thank you @Andrée Starå. That is amazing. However, I think it's a bit more complicated than I need. I'm working within a single sheet and I want to create a summary field that will show the number of interns we have today. I have a Day field for date and a field called Interns with the number of that type of employee.
Do you have a simple formula that will do that based on today's date?
