automated update requests for multiple rows
I am looking for how to send multiple rows in the same automated update request. We need to confirm contact information for building proctors. 1 person might be the proctor for 10 buildings. I do not want to send this person 10 separate emails. We have over 700 individuals. I need for the requests to be automated.
Thanks
Anna

I hope you're well and safe!
If they are triggered simultaneously (or in the same workflow), they will be combined if you're not using Placeholders.
If you're using placeholders.
Placeholders will generate separate notifications when using placeholders with Alert or Update Request actions in change-based workflows if six or fewer rows are triggered simultaneously. If seven or more rows are triggered at once, the custom subject and body will be removed.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

You would have to set them up on a time schedule for the "trigger". If you have them setup to trigger "right away", the only way to send multiple rows at a time would be to have multiple rows updated to trigger the request at the same time before saving.

That didn't work. It still sent 2 separate emails, one for each line.

Which one didn't work?

Sorry I hadn't seen the response from Andree when I responded. I set up the update on a time trigger. I had the same email address in the contact field but two emails were sent rather than both lines in the same one.
I have not tried Andree's method yet.

Andree responded:
"Placeholders will generate separate notifications when using placeholders with Alert or Update Request actions in change-based workflows if six or fewer rows are triggered simultaneously. If seven or more rows are triggered at once, the custom subject and body will be removed."
Is there no way to override this so that the custom subject and body are retained? The subject comes across as whatever the name of the workflow is, which is not helpful to the recipients at all.
