Can anyone assist me with dashboard graphs?

Hi there, I am trying to help a user who wants a dashboard summarising risks from multiple risk registers in one place, where the risk is over a given threshold. I have tried multiple ways of coming at it - a metrics sheet (too manual/complex for the user in question to update when new risk registers are added), and by generating a report from the multiple risk registers, grouping by risk registers (so she can drill down into more detail about which area has the most high level risks) and summarising with a count.

My issue comes with creating the chart on the dashboard, I can make it disregard the total risks and just show a bar chart of the high level risks categorised by the separate registers, but I can't get any category labels to show on the chart, rendering the chart useless to the end user.

Can anyone help?

I assume each register is a separate sheet?

And do you just need the count from each sheet?

each register will have a master reference, a risk name, and a risk score. My end goal is to have a bar chart on the dash showing a count of those risks over a given score (let's arbitrarily say 50) from all risk registers, with each bar showing the count from a different risk register. Hence why I am trying to get the chart to show that particular title

If you are able to work from a sort of template whether it be an actual template or a "save as new" kind of setup, you can insert a column or columns so that each of those metrics are calculated/populated automatically on each of the registers in hidden columns.

Then when a new one is created, all you have to do is go to the metrics sheet and use basic cell linking to add the new register.

Depending on the exact data in the chart, you may have to update the chart to include the new row.
