Report on column that is multi select

I'm trying to build a report that shows the task name and who it is assigned to. The "Assigned to" Column is multi select (as tasks can be assigned to 2 people at a time) . When I try to summarize the report by assigned to I do not even get the option to summarize by assigned to, is that because the column is multi select?

That's exactly why. You can't summarize a multi-select drop down column.
