Updates to the Smartsheet Community Experience
This is a UI thing that we need to make better.
Is it hopefully on the short term road map?
Here's another new feature that I need to create a work-around for:
Hyperlink to post looked like this:
The old ones still do.
New posts look like this:
Previously / currently, I have a sheet for FAQ's.
I could search the sheet for text and sometimes find the FAQ I was looking for.
Now I need to add the second step of copying the title to the sheet, not just the hyperlink.

For those of us that just have a few posts here and there, these updates really don't impact our ability to get what we need from the community (Spellcheck is cool, but really doesn't get to the heart of why I come here.). The BIG impact for us is the fact that one of our biggest sources of support (@J. Craig Williams) now can't work as efficiently.
Might you consider rolling back this update until key users can be consulted on impacts to their workflow?
I meant to add - I really do appreciate that you guys are always moving things forward and listening to your customers. Because you totally do.

Perhaps surprisingly, I am OPPOSED to development focused on one individual or group. If the changes to the Community benefit more people at my (or a small user group's) expense, that is likely the price to pay.
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. Or the one.

It's a good point, Craig. I do agree.
As far as the "needs of the many," I just don't think the changes made a whole lot of impact to most of us. Honestly, everything else was working just fine for me before the update and I'm not really feeling any pain with the update (yet) either. So it seems like kind of an unnecessary update.
Maybe there were others users who were requesting changes to this community format...so if that's the case, then cool. However, in my mind, the big downside of the update for "the many" is the fact that we come to this board for help and the same users who help us again and again (you being one of them) are having workflow issues that might prevent them from helping out!
One of the feature improvements that they did not mention is that in theory it should be easier to search back through the entire set of threads. Maybe that is posted somewhere.
There is, I assume, a lot of improvements like that to be discovered. That would help figure out if it is a net-gain for me (and the rest of us)

Good Job Craig!! I've been so busy lately that I completely forgot to send that one to support!
It got so bad that I had to copy the response into word just to quickly read it. I'm glad this bug was fixed!
I'm not having issues with navigating the pages but this scroll wheel + click opening a link in a new window is a neat trick!
