Control the fields available under the "View by..." in the Cards View

How do I control which fields appear for selection under the "View by ..." in the Cards View ? It appears to pick up all the Text fields, largely - but not exactly - in order from left to right in the Sheet. Many of which are not a useful way to organize the Card View and so I would like to remove them. Total number of fields available for selection is 37 ('ish), which is not all the text fields and some which we would like are not available for selection.

I would have expected "Edit Lanes" to give control of this, but that allows editing which Values appear as swim lanes in the view, i.e. works after you have selected which field you want to dissect.

In the example below, supposing I want to eliminate "View by Theme" ?

The options in Card View are for all dropdown, contact, or symbol columns.

This answer did not answer the OP's question. How can we delete a type from the view-by drop down? If we can't delete one, why not?
