Tips on Migrating from Airtable to Smartsheet

Hello,

We're looking at the effort it would take to migrate from Airtable to Smartsheet. We have about 50 Airtable Bases, which we use to track time, automate payments, generate letters, manage incentives, etc. Our University is encouraging the use of Smartsheet and we're going to be an outlier very soon.

For those of you who have made this change, what issues did you run into and do you have any tips for making the change easier?

At this time, Smartsheet does not support this functionality with migrating Airtable to Smartsheet. Please submit an Enhancement Request to our Product Team for this feature to be included in the future. We highly appreciate your input!

 

In the meantime, an alternate solution would be to migrate your data to Smartsheet by exporting your data in Airtable to any of the supported files like Microsoft Excel file, Microsoft Project project, Google Spreadsheet, or Atlassian Trello board. Then importing it to Smartsheet. You may check Import Files to Create New Sheets.

 

Another you could also try is to integrate your Airtable to Smartsheet using Zapier. (https://zapier.com/apps/airtable/integrations/smartsheet) Zapier is a tool that helps automate tasks between web applications.
