Are Comments and discussions the same thing in Smartsheet?

Hi,

This may sound like a stupid question but i am trying to create some flows when discussions are added to smartsheet however when i test nothing is happening. I presume this may because i am adding a comment rather than creating a discussion yet i cant see the option to add a discussion. So my question is are thee the same thing? If not how do i add a discussion to a smartsheet?

Discussions was older terminology for comments. Now it is called "Conversations".

Comments = Conversations. (You will see the command/operation is called as "Comment" which takes you to the "Conversations" aka history of all comments)

Automated Workflows can be triggered based on "Comment" object. Where do you see option to create workflow based on "Discussion"?
