Alert Notification in Workflow

I am having some challenges with a workflow and getting 2 notifications. Here are the steps:

1. someone approves a form
2. 1st sends it to the person who originally filled out the form
3. 2nd then another set of recipients see the form after the latter person sees it

This is what I have and is seems the WF is bypassing step 2 and going to step 3.

thank you for your response I really appreciate it. We do not plan on sharing the source sheet I was mostly interested in the workflow at this point until I can get access to send to anyone. So would the workflow above work in that order?

Hi, Monica,

By default, only users who have access to view the sheet AND have logged into Smartsheet at some previous time will receive alerts. You will need to configure Automation Permissions to allow alerts to be sent to others.

Hi @MONICA BUENDIA ,

as you can see the 1st notification says “Some recipients may not get notified”

if there are recipients in that notification column (“Contact Email”) that are not part of your Smartsheet account, then you have to change settings to allow external recipients to receive the notification.
