Simple change cell workflow not working

Hi,

I have created a very simple workflow to change a cell (check a checkbox) when a status changes to "Complete." It is not working. I've had the same problems with similar workflows - (Add text to a notes field when a status has been changed). Am I missing something?

I am assuming that you have saved the Automation, triggered the condition, clicked 'Save' and refreshed the page?

I have done all of the above, yes.

• I saved the automation
• Refreshed the page (just to be safe)
• Triggered the condition
• Refreshed the page again.

On another note, I did not realize you had to refresh the page in order to see the automation fire. However, I did so anyway as you mentioned.

Yes. I have found that you need to trigger the Automation (Change to "Complete") AND THEN click the Save button BEFORE you Refresh. The automation should trigger after you refresh the page.

If you refresh before saving the change that triggered the automation, it will revert to being blank upon refresh and nothing will happen.

Yes, but it is imperative that you click 'Save' before refreshing, otherwise the sheet will revert to the last save on refresh without the trigger.

Tried that, no such luck. I have also tried an automation that is essentially: 1.) Change to complete, 2.) Add some text to a comments column. I tried your same sequence, it did not work.

Strange!

I replicated it, and it works for me. The only reason I can think of for it not working would be that you're on a trial account.

I'd be happy to take a quick look.

Can you maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s)? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

I am having the same exact issue. Have done the same Automation in another Task List and it triggers and makes the change as soon as I made the change with no need to do a Save and Refresh. Now nothing happens in a new Task List.

Now suddenly it works when I change the first cell (Done checkbox). Very odd.
