Integrating Smartsheet with Peoplesoft?

I have a specific use case and looking for the best solution.

Currently, our managers are making updates to staff in peoplesoft such as contact info and salary info.

We would like to use smartsheet to collect that same information from managers/staff with automated emails, and then automatically update peoplesoft with the collected information.

Please advise what the best way to do this would be, other than manually going into Peoplesoft and making the updates.

secondary question, if the solution is to purchase a third party add-on (which is fine), would have third party add-on have access to the data/spreadsheet and I have to worry about privacy breaches?

Here's one possible solution. You could also use the Smartsheet API together with the PeopleSoft Integration Broker.
