in an approval workflow we need beside the accept / decline button the ability to enter the reason why the request is declined.
Any idea how to get this?

but comments are not useful, I cannot use them in reports (why it was declined) and I not in PDF documents / google docs add-on
I recently developed a solution for a client where we copied the latest comment to a cell on the same row automatically.
Would that work/help?

How can I prevent further comments to be copied to the cell? Because only the comment for declining is of interest.

We will need to identify the specific comment in some way if there are more added. So either a specific word, know in what order it's added, or something similar.

Unfortunately it will not work for managers who should enter their decision without any specific keywords.
I think I will add an appsheet form which will do the job.

I've been trying to do a simple check of whether or not the entry from the form has a returned value that is either yes or no and it checks 3 cell locations to see if any returned yes. The 3 columns are Dropdown lists for Yes/No and the Status is a Text/Number, is that the issues? If not how do i fix that?
