Notifying people of updated dashboard

Is there a way to generate an automatic notification that a dashboard has been updated?

I know this may say a little archaic but I have a dashboard that updates once per week and I wanted to send to a target group (either by a scheduled notification or automatically when updated).

At this time, I have been "resharing the dashboard to the group", not a poor option, but looking for something more automated or system driven.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to trigger an alert from a change in a Dashboard, but it's an excellent idea!

Please submit an Enhancement Request when you have a moment.

Here's a possible workaround or workarounds

Automatic weekly alert with a link to the Dashboard
Add part of a sheet, report, or similar and update that manually when you update the Dashboard and then have a Workflow trigger from it and send to the group.

Make sense?

Would any of those options work/help?

Dashboard updates to users would be really affective communication tool. Please consider features to accomplish this feature
