How to show team engagement as widget on dashboard?

I am managing a project, and we want to track how many team members are submitting issues/questions. We want to see how many people on the team are engaged by tracking whether or not they've submitted a question or issue. I am logging every issue / question into a sheet which includes a column for the submitters name. Any ideas on how I could turn that into something that would track visually track engagement?

Hi @kwcuellar

The fastest/easiest way to do this would be to create a Report! Use this sheet as the source for the Report, then use the GROUP function to group by Submitter, and then use the SUMMARY function to COUNT that same Submitter column.

You can collapse these rows so it just shows the person and then the count of rows associated with them. Here's a webinar that goes through the Grouping and Summary features in a Report.

Now that you have the numerical data, you can use this as a Chart Widget on your dashboard... perhaps a Pie Chart or a Bar Chart, whatever you'd prefer.
