Printing Gantt to PDF with a filter -> blank

I am filtering my Gantt chart to only show the tasks for a subset of the team. Looks just fine on the screen (Chrome and Edge). But when I print, I get nothing (see image).

Any ideas?

    Hi @DGIONET

I hope you're well and safe!

    Strange!

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots of the Report builder/Filter? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)

    I hope that helps!

Be safe and have a fantastic weekend!

  • Hi Andree,

The process is pretty straightforward (which is why I am so puzzled). Maybe it is a limitation of the type of account I currently use.

I have a Gantt chart with resources. I applied a filter to see a subset of the Gantt chart for only the selected team.

Then, I see the filtered Gannt:

    Hello @DGIONET

Thank you so much for the additional information on this. Upon reviewing what you have, I am unable to replicate the same issue and confirm whats causing this behaviour. I created a test using the same account plan as what you have & compare it to a different account plan - both are working as expected so its not due to the type of Smartsheet account plan you have.

I created a Gantt View Project with Filters enabled & only selected the columns I want shown in the Print Settings. When exported, the PDF shows the data that needs to be shown.

I suggest submitting a Smartsheet Support ticket on this to help with troubleshooting on your end. I believe its best to do a screenshare session with a Support specialist on this topic!

    Cheers!

    @DGIONET

Yes, it's straightforward, and it should work. Have you tried on another computer? It might be something with the printer driver.

If you haven’t already, I would recommend that you reach out to the Smartsheet Support Team.

Let me know what you find out!
