Using Smartsheet to Display Barchart Monthly

How can I use smartsheet to display monthly changes with a barchart. I want to be able to add the data to a sheet so that it populates the bar chart monthly in a dashboard while showing the data of previous months to compare?

There are a number of ways to do this. How exactly are you gathering your data for the "current month"?

I just want to be able to input the data on the smartsheet so that it will be able to update a dashboard

In that case you could have two rows for your chart to look at. One for the current month and one for the previous. Each month you would copy/paste the date from current month to previous month and then enter the data for the new current month.
