Report filtering
I would like to create a report that only pulls tasks that have not be checked done from a checkbox column, but also do not have a "-" in the done column (these are rows that do not contain tasks, rather description fields). When I filter it looks as if SmartSheet is deciphering the "-" as unchecked. Is there some simple way around this? We have 200+ projects already established so something were I don't have to modify the individual sheets would be helpful.

Hi @MKelly
I hope you're well and safe!
Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, andree@workbold.com)
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Try using the "Is not one of" filter option instead of just checked vs unchecked.
-
I am referring to the "Done" column in this image.
-
Right. So when you are building your report and you get to the filter criteria section, select the checkbox column and use the option of "Is not one of" and you should be able to chose both checked and the dash to filter out of the report.

Here are the options I have, this still does not filter out the "-"
-
What if you check the box that has the "-" next to it? The bottom box in your screenshot that would say where
"Done is not one of -"
It seems to me that it does recognize it since it has the number of rows that have a "-" right next to the symbol.
-
Right you would think that would work, but it does not.
-
What if you replaced the "-" with something like "N/A"? I have had problems before with the "-" in formulas being treated as a blank and had to swap them out for something else.
