Submissions are via a form to our smartsheet - manually adding subtasks can I automate?
We have our team submitting requests for work via a form with a few required columns and some nice to have information to generate into the Smartsheet.
We have been manually copy and pasting the subtask rows each time a form is submitted. then we indent those to get the parent child relationship. They are always the same exact rows we are copying and pasting in the same exact order.
Is there a way to automate this. it is very cumbersome. This would be a major win for our team if we could get it to automate when a new form is submitted to create the subtask rows beneath it and indent.
Let me know what solution there is other than manually modifying the sheet.

Hello @dgloballab
At this time, there is no direct method to automatically create rows for parent/child hierarchy based on changes or when new rows are added within the sheet but it is a great idea!
When you can, please submit an Enhancement Request to be considered for future development with Smartsheet!
Cheers~

FYI. I have an idea for a solution, but I haven't had time to explore it further yet.
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi Andre - I am searching around on this topic. Did you come up with a solution? I want rows added via form (they add to bottom of sheet) to indent to support a sum(children) function.
