Dynamic View - Conversations
Hi Smartsheet Community
I'm using Dynamic View to have multiple stakeholders approve an asset in parallel. I created a different view for each Stakeholder, which I'll call #1, #2, and #3. If #3 adds a comment on a row, will Stakeholders #1 and #2 be able to see these comments? I want all three stakeholders to have the ability to leave comments, but I don't want them to see each other's comments.
Thanks,
Glenn

Happy to help!
Try something like this.
=JOIN(COLLECT([Comment 1]@row:[Comment 3]@row, [Comment 1]@row:[Comment 3]@row, <>""), CHAR(10))

Hi @Glenn Ige
I hope you're well and safe!
Yes, they will see each other's comments if they have access to the Comments.
Here's a possible workaround or workarounds
- Add multiple so-called helper columns. (One for each Stakeholder where they can add their comments)
Pro-tip.You could also add another helper column that joins all of the comments together so it would be easier to copy it over to the comments section if needed.
Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe and have a fantastic week!

Hi Andrée,
I will try the helper column idea. Its not ideal since I like the ability to respond to comments via email and @ users.
What formula would I use to join comments together?
Thanks,
Glenn
