Date format is wrong

Hi Expert,

I did a data upload via data shuffle from an excel file including the following English dates e.g. Dec 1., Feb 1, April

But in Smartsheet it looks like this:

So it switch the month with the day. My settings are english in smartsheet as well. How can I fix it? Thanks

    Importing dates is always a little tricky. My suggestion would be to import them as text and then use a formula to grab each portion of the text string and place appropriately in a DATE function.


    I also wonder too (untested) if you could have the dates converted into a number string in Excel and have it pull over correctly into a date type column in Smartsheet that way? I am thinking along the lines of where (for example) 12345 would mean 12 April 2021 or something like that?
