Start and End times in Start and Finish Columns

Hi all,

Is there a way to enter start and finish dates and TIME into the Start and Finish columns? My Smartsheet configuration only accepts dates and I can't find a way to format the cell to show TIME, as well (e.g. 10/12/20201 02:20:15

We're trying to use Smartsheet to plan deployments, which can be multiple tasks over a few hours. We'd also like to view all of the tasks on a gantt chart, which should be possible if I can figure out how to enter Time into the Start and Finish.

Hi @Mike R.

Smartsheet does not currently have the functionality to include time into standard Date columns, such as Start and End dates. Please provide your feedback and identify your use-case to our Product team through this form, here!

If you're using a Project sheet and you want to identify that a task is scheduled for a few hours in a day, then you can use "h" in the Duration column to identify that the duration is only "2h" for example.

Although you won't be able to identify which hours in the day these are, it will show in the Gantt view as a shorter bar than a full day:
