Is there a way keep the attachments window from opening by default?

When dropping into a sheet I don't want to see all the attachments by default. I would like the right window to not open at all. I prefer that the user goes to the specific row that they need to see the document(s).

Dropping into a sheet where a window shows all documents is confusing to some of my users.

If you're navigating to the sheet through the Smartsheet app, then sheets will open up how they were last left. For example, if I open up the attachment window and then go to another sheet, when I come back to this sheet the attachment window will still be left open. If you want the default to be closed, you'll want to close the window any time you open it up.

Thank you for the answer. This leaves the behavior of the sheep dependent on past operations. I wish there was an option to control this.
