change cell value based on a predecessor row
HI. Is it possible to change a cell value based on a change in another row? The sheet i am working in has a column for task status (Normal, Critical, Complete, Waiting on Contingency). Some rows have predecessors. A row with a predecessor has a Task Status of "waiting on contingency" if it has a predecessor row. Is it possible to change this task status to "Normal" once the predecessor row task status changes to "complete"? There are very few actual dates in this sheet. All the dates are relative.
Perhaps there is even a better way to handle this situation.

@Bassam Khalil That would not work as we need to be able to reference the predecessor on each row.
@Karen Ferency Here is a link to a thread that explores the new SUCCESSORS function. I am sure we should be able to adapt the solution outlined in the original post there.
