Parent/child Indentation copy/paste does not work through WorkApps

we are trying to create activities (hierarchy) in our project by copying the standards set activities by tyoe of the project. if we do this opening the sheet (project plan) directly from the workspace it works perfectly; it paste all selected activities and keep the hierarchy:

Source Standard Set of Activities:

Destinations Project Plan (empty sheet) opened directly from workspace:

The result of copy/paste as expected:

but, now, if we want to do the same thing using the WorkApps (we have to use WorkApps because our users may not have direct access to Smartsheet objects), simple it does not work. we try to achieve this through two different ways:

  1. including the sheet as page directly in WorkApp (as editor)
  2. creating the link to the sheet on the dashboard, and including the dashboard as page in WorkApps

both of them do not work ...

here is the case 1 (including the sheet as page directly in WorkApp):

Source Standard Set of Activities (copy selection) is exactly the same as above,

Destination is following:

but the result of copy/paste is wrong (fine for the text, but there is no more indentation, everything becomes level-0):

  1. the same (that is even more strange) is happening with the second case (creating the link to the sheet on the dashboard, and including the dashboard as page in WorkApps

Source Standard Set of Activities (copy selection) is exactly the same as above,

Destination is following:

dashboard page:

clicking "Project Plan X", it opens new tab with the sheet:

but when we paste, again it comes completely wrong (fine for the text, but there is no more indentation, everything becomes level-0):

so, that is ...

Any help ???

thx & rgrds,

    Hi @lkrobot

You are correct - you can either copy/paste Hierarchy between sheets in the Smartsheet App, or you can copy/paste Hierarchy between sheets displayed in a Workapp, but there currently isn't a way for a Sheet inside a Workapp to recognize and apply Hierarchy that's copied from a Sheet in the Smartsheet App. In this instance it will only apply the cell data and not the cell formatting.
