My client not able to send emails or update requests

I have set up my client as Editor (can share) but she does not have the ability to send and email or request an update. Those options are not allowed. How can I change this? I have never had this issue with client in the past. Has Smartsheet changed? One should be allowed to email within Smartsheet and not have to do a separate email outside of the program. Any help would be appreciated.
