Displaying report summary data on a dashboard
This question has been asked earlier but unable to find a satisfactory answer so posting again.
Is there any method we can hide all the rows within a report and just have a header row?
for example, if we have a status column in the report (Closed, Open, In-Progress) if we summarize using the staus column then how to hide all rows except the header which has only the total count, Please Guide Thanks!

If you're using Grouping and Summary in a Report, then you can embed this in a Dashboard using the Report Widget and select the toggle option to only show the top Summary row, like so:
Let me know if this helps! If not, it would be useful to see a screen capture of your current Report and a description of what you want to appear on the Dashboard, but please block out sensitive data.

Genevieve

@Genevieve P. is there a way to show this data in graph form. In your example above can we show the total (Assume you have multiple column totals) as a donut chart?

Hi @Toby W
Yes! You can use a Grouped & Summarized Report as the source for a Donut Chart. Keep in mind that you will need to have both Grouping and Summary applied for the chart to read the data, and it will only read the first level of Grouping. See: New! Create a chart from reports with grouping and summary
If you're not able to chart your current data, it would be helpful to see a screen capture of how your Report is set up (but block out sensitive data).
Thanks,
Genevieve

What if you want to display a report in a dashboard which has a grouping and 2 summaries but do not want the "Total" row to show? Is there an option to not display that row? @Genevieve P.
Thanks!

Hi @Free_Snap
There currently isn't a way to hide the Total row in a grouped report. However you could use the two summaries as source data for charts, which would then ignore the top-level Total row.
Cheers,
Genevieve
