Best practices for directly occasional users to correct dashboards/reports in a workspace

We have a workspace that we have a team of people working on to give our executive team updates through dashboards. Much of these sheets, they don't need access, but if they are poking around they need to be able to access.

The executive team is not familiar with SmartSheet and adding them to a workspace with hundreds of sheets and reports can be confusing for them.

Are there any best practices for directing occasional users to correct areas?

I was thinking of creating a separate workspace that only had the dashboards they wanted to see, but worry without giving access to the reports, drilling down within dashboard will be difficult.

Someone on my team recommended a "Read Me First" dashboard, but not certain I want to do that.

Any help is appreciated
