Snapshot of a cell value
Is there anyway to record what value is in one cell on one sheet into another cell on another sheet at a particular time and date.
I am trying to streamline my job and every afternoon I have to record values from a master sheet into a financials sheet, if I could enter a formula into the financials cell to pull the value it needs from a particular cell at a specific time on a specific date then I could skip this one job everyday.
Any ideas?

Hi @Josh Osborn ,
Have you looked into the Copy Row automation? It would copy the whole row to the other sheet, but you could hide any unnecessary columns. Perhaps you could have it move to the financials sheet?
I just had to use this feature on a project I created, and I was happy with how well it works.
Best,
Heather

While the Copy Row Automation is a great idea, however the financials sheet that we use cannot accommodate the pasted information due to specific information being in that sheet that doesn't exist in the master sheet.
I know that what I want to do is possible in Excel through the use of script and VBA coding, however Smartsheet doesn't have that functionality that I am aware of.
I was hoping to find a work around needing to code using the DATE/TIME formulas however they don't even work in Excel.

Maybe I was correct! 😉
Take a look at my post above.
You could use that method to collect what you need specifically for the Finance sheet.
Make sense?
Would that work/help?
