Display/Reference data in one sheet in another sheet

Hi Smartsheet Community,

I'm struggling with pulling in duplicate data from one sheet into another sheet. I literally want to have Column 1,2,3 etc. display in another sheet. I've tried VLOOKUP, INDEX and using the Sheet Reference Manager but no luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

John

What are you using this duplicated data for? Have you tried using a report?

    Hi @John Stanik

I hope you're well and safe!

Can you describe your process in more detail and maybe share the sheet(s)/copies of the sheet(s) or some screenshots? (Delete/replace any confidential/sensitive information before sharing) That would make it easier to help. (share too, [email protected])

    I hope that helps!

Have a fantastic week & Happy Holidays!

  • @Andrée Starå @Paul Newcome Hi Andree and Paul

I have a sheet with sheet summary fields that I'm using to feed a dashboard. I have met the limit on the original sheet for summary fields. I wanted to create a new sheet that fed from the old sheet so I can create more summary fields (to feed the remainder of the dashboard). I'm sure there's an easier way to do this, but this was the path I started down.

I've attached a copy of the dashboard for reference. I'm trying to get a breakdown of the Event Survey Metrics by Event Category with the colored dots. I'm referencing a sheet that houses the totals for each metric in the summary of the sheet.

I was going to use a report, but I don't think I can reference individual cells in a report on the dashboard, can I?

My suggestion would be to move all calculations to a "Metrics Sheet" (no sheet summary fields at all) and have your formulas use cross sheet references.
