Update multiple report filters from a dashboard

I have a dashboard that shows multiple reports based off of the same source data. For me to update the metrics on the dashboard I need to click into each report and update the date range. It would be fantastic if there was a way to update a date range from the dashboard and have it apply to all of the reports. Also while I am shooting for pie in the sky if there is a way to display on the dashboard the current filtered dates. (all of the filters are a "between" date range.
