Combined Update request across multiple projects/sheets
Hi,
My teams work concurrently across multiple projects. Is there a way to combine status update requests for tasks across multiple sheets so that they receive a consolidated update request for all projects?
I have created a "Current User Report" which shows tasks across all projects for each user, but am having difficulty getting people to review this report daily!

Hi @tariq.shaikh@signspecialists.com ,
I did my own test with the "current user" filter on my report. Unfortunately, it sent out the report filtered by the user who prompted the PDF to be sent. So, unless I'm missing something, it looks like you would have to set up a separate report for each person.
If you end up having to go that route, the good thing is that reports are super easy to duplicate and change the filter for, so you don't have to start from scratch. When you have the report open, simply go to File>Save as new... , then click on the Filter icon to change the filter to the next assigned contact.
It's not ideal, but would work. (And, if you have personnel changes, you could simply take the report from the person who leaves and change the filter to the new person.)
Hope this helps!

Hi @tariq.shaikh@signspecialists.com ,
Have you considered using the scheduled "send as attachment" option on the report to remind people daily to make updates? It's not necessarily an update request, but is better than nothing.
Having update requests sent from reports (rather than individual sheets) would be a great feature to suggest to Smartsheet!

Heather Duff - Thanks for the suggestion. I have set up most of our reports filtered for "Current User". Would this require for me to create separate report for each user or role?

@tariq.shaikh@signspecialists.com That is a very good question! I would have to test it out to see if the "current user" filter works for the send as attachment function. I'll try to test it out soon and let you know. (If you have already tested it, please let me know! I'm very curious.)
My apologies for the delayed response over the holidays. Happy new year!

Heather Duff - Thanks. Not ideal... perhaps a product enhancement candidate?

Here's the link to make your suggestion (I just used this today!):
