Need to attach my Smartsheet user id (email) to a new Smartsheet user group

I have a longstanding Smartsheet account but need to also be able to use my email with another Smartsheet account for a series of projects in my client company. Every time I sign in, however, I am pointed to my personal Smartsheet account.

Guidance as how to solve would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you're well and safe!

You should be able to be shared to the other Smartsheet Account, but you can't be added to it as a user. Your email can only be assigned to one Account as a User.

Once an email address is used with a Smartsheet account, that email address cannot be used as the primary or associated email address with any other Smartsheet account.

So, if I understand the issue correctly, I need to remove the email address associated with my Smartsheet account that I want to use with the other team's Smartsheet account and then that should work. Is this a correct understanding?

Happy to help!

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. When you've assigned an email to an Account, it's locked to it, and it can only be part of one Account.

You'll need to free up the email address.
