The first thing I'd check is to make sure you're running the latest version of Outlook, and that you have one of the supported account types. See the chart with these details here: Smartsheet for Outlook Add-in
If you can confirm you're on the correct version and account, then I would suggest reaching out to Smartsheet Support with screen captures of the exact error message you're seeing along with the detailed steps you took before the message appeared.
