Using workflow, is there a way to automate the email notification w/o manual adding the recipient?

I'm using the automated workflow for one of my trackers, that when it's approved, it will alert someone as an automated email to the requestor, however since the details are from my Smartsheet Form intake, I will have to manually input the requestor's email or their Smartsheet user name to the selected column for it to work. Is there a way that the workflow "alert someone" "send to contacts in a cell" be updated from the form itself? what do I need to do or change in my form or workflow?
