Counting number of selections made in a multiselect column cell
I have a sheet that we are using to track partners that attend various meetings. The organizers of the groups select the partners that attend a meeting from a multi-select dropdown list. I need to be able to count how many partners are marked in each of these cells individually.
For the screen shot below what I would need is for the count to show 7 in the first row 3 in the second row and 4 in the third row.
Is there a way to do this without a bunch of countif statements? There could be up to 100 partners for some events so that will simply take too long to write out.
I saw this question posted in the community from 2019 and one of the responses said that Smartsheet was working on a solution but I haven't seen anything posted besides that one time.
