Tracking DATE & TIME
How can we record a date and time in a cell when a condition has been met?
I haven’t been able to record in a cell both, the date and time when certain conditions are met.
Note: The auto-number type column does it automatically every time a new row is added but my sheet has already this type of column being used.
If possible please provide details.
Thanks

There is not yet a function or automation that allows you to record a time, only the Workflow automation to record a date.
By all means, please submit an enhancement request for that functionality on the form link below!

Andrée Starå very kind you have shared this with me.
Interesting approach, no doubt.
However, my concerns are:
- If the Source sheet is changing from multiple fields at the same time, the “Modified” column would provide wrong info to the Destination sheet as it’s changing (is dynamic), I want to trigger the date/time recording ONLY from ONE column (field) change.
- The “completed time” column in the Source sheet does not record time (hh:mm) but dd/yy
- Please note I am already using the autogenerated "Created" field in my sheet and when I mimic your approach it transfers the Created date&time to the destination sheet. In the end I need to calculate the differential between the creation date&time and cell change date&time (hh:mm).
If you or somebody can bring some light to my concerns or if there is an alternate way that would be greatly appreciated if it's shared with us.
Thanks

Happy to help!
Please have a look at the solution again. I noticed an error, but now it's working again.
It's not dynamic, it registers the time when it's copied over, but it can probably be modified to work for your need.
