Can you use global update to update cell links?

I have some items in my project metadata that are cell link references. I need to update those Cell links. Is this possible with global update?

Cell links cannot be updated currently with Global Updates find and replace (see the table in this Help Article: Control Center Global Updates: Find / Replace).

Editing the Project Information will create cell-links from your intake sheet to the project metadata, but this will not remove a cell-link that already exists. Please provide your feedback to our Product team!
