#INVALID REF appeared some hours after Data Mesh was run, do you know the cause?

A Data Mesh was set up and initially it worked correctly. However, after some hours suddenly the filed that are linked were changed to #INVALID REF. Nothing was changed in the configuration. Could you please explain why this happened? and how can it be fixed?

Thank you,

    Hi @Yonathan Meneses

If you don't have any formulas, then it sounds like you may have set up Cell Linking in your configuration and this is where the error is coming from.

Yes, screen captures would be helpful to see your set-up and try to replicate the issue: it would be helpful to see your Workflow Configuration on each tab as well as the Source and Destination sheets.

However I would suggest working directly with Smartsheet Support on this so you can share a screen recording or screen share and share more sensitive information via a private channel.

    Cheers,

  • Hi @Yonathan Meneses

#INVALID REF is a formula error; it sounds like there may be a formula on your source sheet that you're pulling in to a second sheet, and it's this formula that is returning the error.

Can you identify what it is you're pulling through from Sheet A that is causing the error in Sheet B? Does the error appear in Sheet A as well, or only in Sheet B? Screen captures and the formula pasted would be helpful, but please block out sensitive data.

    Cheers,

  • Hi Genevieve,

Its is curious becase the data in the source sheet does not have a formula. So, the error only appeared in the sheet B ( target). Please let me know if the screen captures are still needed.
