When Exporting to Excel Order set Order Rows

Hi!

Is it possible to set the order of the columns that are exported? I am able to export my smartsheet and apply a filter that will hide the rows that I need hidden but it is ordered based on when the row was created. Can that be changed to be ordered by one of the column headers instead? If so, how do I do it?

    Hi @renealvarez

    Exporting the sheet to Excel will keep the row order that's set in your Smartsheet Sheet. This means that if you need a different order, you can Sort the rows in Smartsheet based off of that column. When the sheet in Smartsheet is in the correct order, then your exported file will have that correct order as well!

    If you don't want to reorganize your original sheet in Smartsheet, you could create a Report that has the correct sort order applied and then export from the Report instead (you could also apply a filter this way as well). See: Build a row report
