Access backup link if Smartsheet is not available
I´ve scheduled weekly backups for some workspaces and received the links. After reading the following information I still have some questions:
- Backups are available for download for four weeks following the backup date. After four weeks, the links to the backups will be unavailable.
- Smartsheet operates 100% in the cloud: the sheets you create are stored on Smartsheet servers.
I would like to know what happens with these backup links if Smartsheet is not available. Can I still access the backup files through the latest links received? The reason I´m asking is that it is extra work to download the backups from the links and make a local backup of files.
Would you rather advise to make local copies or the links are safe to rely on during the validity period?

The backup links download a zip drive that contain excel versions of all of your sheets and reports within the workspace. It is basically a "hard copy" version of your sheets downloaded at the time of the backup creation.
