Can I modify the error message displayed if a required field is not completed?

I have a form that includes a set of questions that are multi-select checkboxes:

If the user does not select a checkbox and tries to submit the form, the error message is not grammatically correct. Can I modify the error message shown to the user?

Unfortunately, it's not possible now to change the error message, but it's an excellent idea!
