Pivot table from two sheets

Hi all! So we use the Pivot app to pull data from our Project Management schedule over to a dashboard. Today, one of my Schedules hit the cell max and I have to split it into 2 sheets. The problem is, as I create the pivots for the second sheet and combine them into a report for the dashboard widget, it's creating a duplicate row for the same data point which then splits the count on the dashboard.

eg. Project Stages. Each sheet has the same possible stages but the duplicate pivot tables needed are creating confusing data on the dashboard.

Is there a way that I am missing to combine the data so that all of the Site Assessment and Close-Out projects are counted together instead of separated as they are above?

  • Hi @Kelly Gabel

Instead of creating the Report after running two Pivot Workflows on two sheets, I would suggest creating a Report out of your 2 sheets first, then use this Report as the source for your Pivot workflow. (See: Create a Pivot Sheet)

This will then bring all your data together ahead of time. Let me know if it works for you!

    Cheers,

I hadn't realized that a report could be used as the source! That's great news! It won't be as simple for me as you are describing based on the source sheets involved, but this gives me a great starting point.

    Thanks!
